Our bread and butter is printing tees and posters. It’s been that way since we starting offering screen printing as a service back in 2007. Over the last few years, and most recently with Boston banning plastic bags, we have been creating screen printed tote bags more and more often.

The customers that are choosing tote bags for their printed projects are coming from all industries. Artists and brands are choosing tote bags for art-wearables, we’ve printed totes as give-aways for live screen printing events, and some clients choose tote bags as a safe, non-sizeable item that everyone can appreciate. Whatever is driving your motivation to choose a tote bag, its important that you choose the right type of bag. If you already know the type of bag you want and you are ready to get a quote, head straight over to our tote bag quote request form.

Basic totes

Basic totes, just like basic tees, are the most budget-friendly option. These are typically a thin canvas or synthetic fabric that is just a little thicker than a t-shirt. They can get a little crinkled after washing, due to their thin material. The benefit of these bags is that they have the most color options available whereas heavy canvas bags are mostly offered in your standard black, natural, navy, red, etc. Here are some examples of basic totes we’ve created over the past couple years, you can see that the basic totes are very popular in black:

Mid-weight screen printed tote bags

If you want something a little more durable a mid-weight bag might be a better option. These tote bags are typically 9oz and above. The gusset option is available with these and that means you can hold more things in your bag. If you’re looking for something that will fit a record, this is a viable option. Here are some mid-weight examples:

Heavy weight tote bags

The most durable bags are going to be the heavy weight totes. These can be as thick as 15oz canvas. I’ve had a few of these bags for 10 years and they are still going strong. If you are looking a durable bag that will last a long time and carry a ton of stuff, this might be the bag for you. Some examples below:
